We are back in the cold country for a little while, the nights have been freezing. Still doing Waterfall Way.
As you would have seen in the previous blog, Garry and I are in the Mountains near New England National Park. The camp is at Little Styx River, a quiet spot that is beautiful but has cow poop to give it that country feel.
We have had a couple of lovely walks. Cathedral Rocks National Park was a beautiful but hard walk through native scrub and boulders. It was a 6 km hike that I found difficult with a sore left knee and lots of steps. I chickened out of the 400 meter climb to the top. Garry endured and was rewarded with great views from the top.
The next day we did The Teatree River Walk and today explored the Point of New England World Heritage area. Fantastic views from the escarpment 180° out over vast areas of mountainous rainforest. We could even see the ocean in the distance.
Thankyou for the birthday wishes.
